Building a computer

Hey everyone I'm Joe. I'm new to this site and also building a computer in general. Looking to build a gaming computer with really good graphics card and the best processor. But don't know where to start looking. Suggestions on just building a computer in general? Thanks. And if this is in the wrong tread let me know so I can put it in the correct one.

This is more of a general hardware type of thread question your asking instead of artisan. With that being said welcome to OCN. What's you budget and what do you plan to use it for?

$2000 and use it mostly for games but general use as well. So that would include stuff like fraps for recording, high graphics cards, etc
