XFX - Still good or bad with RMA's?

Thread Starter
I know this has been asked several times before but, does XFX still have a somewhat bed rep for RMA's or are they still pretty decent when it comes to repairs/replacements and turn around time?

This will essentially be my first XFX RMA so afrer reading some posts in the past about them makes me feel a bit uneasy. My HD7950 starting developing artifacts a some few months after I purchased it though it wasn't really noticeable unless you really paid attention to it but then it started occurring frequently while browsing, watching movies or just playing LoL. It got worse after installing Catalyst 13.9, I did pretty much everything to see what was causing it from a reinstall to a different PC. I'm just looking for some opinions in case any of you guys recently dealt with them.

They did rma me my 5450 xfx card I refused to believe they would send me a shoddy product so I replaced my motherboard. I was planning to do it anyways think it had a short somewhere.

Anyways the card they sent me is defective. I know because it didn't post and crashed two machines. I did not want to deal with their bs so I ordered from another vendor. I am waiting for some sort of response I know it will not be satisfactory but that is the breaks.

I just wrote up another support ticket and hoping for a response.

They did in the past send me a new 5450 but that eventually failed the furmark test and would freeze when doing anything video intensive.

I conceded it could be a broken pci express slot and when I checked with my flashlight it wasn't making good contact with the pins. I also live in the same state as them to prove that point wrong.

That is why I replaced the whole board.

After all the horror stories, XFX is off my radar forever.

Not giving this company a single dime of mine and will not recommend their products to anyone.

And this is coming from someone that has never owned any of their products, ever. Google searches and this forum just sealed the deal for me.
