2. installed the pixel patch - this unlocked resolutions on any cable/adapter hookup for me
3. (mod warning) i removed #16 pin on all my DVI adapter cables. (this disables the monitor polling issue where when you power one off or change resolutions it causes the display to be removed and reappear. This was causing havoc with AMD eyefinity and CCC)

hookup as follows
#1 HDMI out from tv >>>> DVI PC
#2 HDMI out from tv >>>> DVI PC
#3 HDMI out from TV >>>>DVI/Displayport adapter PC

11520x2160 landscape or 6480x3840 portrait.

I will be making custom monitor stands for these so i can put them in portrait. I would not recommend doing this setup for a few obvious reason unless your planning to downsize resolutions some. You have to reduce game settings in most cases to achieve a playable frame rate. I am running quad 290's in crossfire so i can benchmark lesser crossfire setups for people interested. Eyefinity has very little game support in itself so combined with insane resolution ive found even less games work. I would like to provide screenshots but they are too large.

Edit: wanted to say my ultimate goal is to run 1440p @ 60hz for now using your guide. 4k eyefinity will be used very little in gaming but for desktop is very insane if you need the workspace.

im trying to do the same ca you post some pictures? and any updates on the 1440p eyefinity?

I have 1440p working just fine on the monitor that I am typing on now. Were you just interested in eyefinity results?

He has his own thread here for his setup with benches: http://www.overclock.net/t/1481154/4k-eyefinity-crossfire-scaling-from-1-2-3-4-gpus-benchmarks/80#post_22157252

Good idea, i think he was interested to see if eyefinity works 1440p across all three. Something i forgot to do after i got shock and awed by 4k eyefinity. I am going to give it a shot tonight, working on it now even.

Salamachaa, hes also asking about 30hz gaming, what do you think about playing at 30hz? Maybe you can shed some light on how you feel about it.thumb.gif

I have been stalking this thread for months thanks for testing this display you guys. I would think 30hz should be perfect for mmo's right?

30hz gaming is very subjective and it depends on the type of game for me. For example, I found 30hz to be perfectly adequate for saints row 4, dirt showdown, and south park the stick of truth. However, in games like battlefield 4, titanfall, and other games with a first person viewpoint, I found it unacceptable. I use 1440p @72hz or 1080p @124hz for these games. That's what I like about this TV. I have options.

The biggest thing that makes 30hz work well for me is to use Radeonpro to dynamically set the frame rate to a couple below refresh rate. So for 30hz I was setting it to limit frames to 28. I also forced vsync via radeonpro. This allows no screen tearing and much less input lag than just using vsync at 30hz.

I guess to directly answer your question, I don't play MMOs, but given their 3rd person nature and lack of twitch movements, I would think that 30hz would be a tolerable trade off for 4k resolution.

Even if you don't like it, you can just run the panel at 1440p and 60hz.

I'm going to copy and paste here because you seemed interested as well tongue.gif

Yeah i like having options too but I am excited for a 39 inch 2560x1440p that's why I have been watching this thread. You guys seem like the only people who test different resolutions. On previous pages I saw that the text was kinda blurry when using 1440p because of the custom resolution but yours doesn't do that Salamachaa?

Alright it took some arguing with AMD CCC and CRU to get it, i now have 2560x1440p@72HZ across 3 screens. I will test some benches or get sample screenshots.

My first big con vs pro here: I have been looking at 4k for a while and even my 27inch 1080p viewsonic monitors look blurry to me. That said the scaling done by this seiki in 60/72hz is very blurry/distorted. I am typing on it now but i would not use this resolution as a desktop personally. It may need some tweaking and Salamachaa might be way more versed than me on that.

I am currently running the following configuration for this. AMD r9 290 video cards, AMD CCC 13.12WHQL drivers. CRU/ATI pixel clock patch. Following his guide in the OP should work fine for this.
I had to go into CRU and edit every monitor that showed up with the custom resolution.thumb.gif

Note: eyefinity will default to 4k resolution after you create the eyefinity in CCC. You then have to go into customize resolution in CCC and set your res see pic.

Gonna see what else i can do here.
