Response time is 6.5ms plus whatever refresh rate you end up doing.

Example: at 4k 30hz it would be 6.5ms+ 33ms (for a frame refresh) so about 40ms. In many games, vsync doesn't work correctly unless if you use a frame limited to limit your frame rate dynamically to just below the frame rate and enable vsync. Otherwise the input lag is more like that at 15fps (about 73ms including the tvs response time and refresh rate) which is pretty much stupid for anything. These numbers are of course theorectical and depending on your input device, there could be extra input lag (for example xinput devices usually add a little bit of lag that is noticeable in twitch games.

To completely answer your question, if you configure things properly, input lag isn't a con of this television that I have experienced. The biggest cons are: subpar black levels and slightly funky text scaling at certain resolutions. This mainly only affects me when I am reading something that is white text on black background. Dark scenes in video games also suffer a bit, but I usually just adjust gamma/brightness settings and it is much better.

FFS. Now it's on for 360$ and can't price match it due to the rebate, why did I buy it last week.

Have you had much time to play around with it? What are your impressions?

A bit at 1080p, just through it on my HTPC for now. Picture is okay, not great but for the price it's okay.

Haven't tried on 4k yet since my HTPC doesn't support 4k and waiting on parts for my desktop to put back together

Yeah at 1080p the picture is not superb. It definitly is a good value even if you are using it at 1080p because you can do real 120hz at 1080p if you flash the 50inch firmware on it. As long as your htpc isn't able to break 120fps on whatever game you are playing, you shouldn't have screen tearing without vsync, which makes fps feel smooth to me.

Yeah I haven't flashed the firmware lately, despite having a dozen flash drives I conveniently can't seem to find a single one at the moment. Kinda ridiculous. Hoping it definitely improves things a bit. Only show I noticed issues with was a whose line is it anyway episode. The background of their stage was like a red/blue gradient and it looked really bad.

Probably was the 39inch default firmware. It does some funky downscale upscale thing with 1080p input. The 50 inch firmware straight up just gives 4 pixels per 1 1080p pixel. It should fix it as soon as you flash it with the 50inch firmware.

No problem. I really suggest flashing when you get your hands on a flash drive tongue.gif. It takes like 5 minutes. The only annoying thing is that it forgets your preset channels when you flash so you have to scan for channels again.

I think the system hangs as in freeze. The display goes black when it's testing the new resolution in NVIDIA's custom resolution tool and it doesn't revert to the old resolution after the 20 second test period. And yes, I'm using CRU.
