You Seiki guys with 4k

What resolution does this site says you are using?

http://www.whatismyscreenresolution.com/

I want to see if the site is wrong.. I'm on 4k(changhong) but it says 1920x1080... I have some suspicions about this TV just need to be sure.

It says 2560x1440p for me..
but I know I am on 4K

hahaha the site is ****ty...!

trust me you will know what 4k looks like.. it's dot for dot image is very sharp...

our seikis are ugly unless sharpness is turned down to 0...

the best thing to try would be to cru 3840x2160 @ 10hz

it will use less then 165mhz px clock.. and even my old laptop does that... so perhaps try that to see if you can reach 4k...

just for my pleasure..

tell me your exact computer spec.. detailed spec...
what monitors u have running.. r u doing more then 1 screen?

are you using the 4k screen with a adaptor or direct hdmi?

another way to detect your screen resolution is to do this

1. on your keyboard press the PRTSCN button...
2. open paint
3. CTRL-V (paste)
4. save the image

desk.jpg 1253k .jpg file

now go and open that image and see what the dimensions r!!!

Thanks for that. It does say 3840x2160 on the picture dimension.

Every online test says I'm 1080p.. smh

Yours might be doing what the Seiki is supposed to do.(never works for me hardly)

It must be up-scaling a 1080p signal to 4k. Which in theory should look slightly better than 4k or a lot better.

Another thing.. When you goto Screen Resolution via windows control panel.

there is a button which allows screen scale.
windows 8.1 will automatically be large scale

but kind of makes everything too big and somewhat blurry

so you should goto minimal setting to see exactly what 4K desktop real estate is like..

it does require a signout and sign in again to effectly have changes made.

but this is one thing that could be making it feel like your screen isnt 4k!

as for your tv, it could be a simple firmware bug.. when I goto overscan it says my TV is 1920x1080 but I think that there are no tv's that have 4k firmware and seiki had to do with what was avil... so they modded the hell out of a firmware rom.
these cheaper brands are doing the best they can.. but to build a circuit which handles 4K would be very costly so I feel there are alot of mods done to make our cheapo 4K tv's work properly

1 example.. When I use Photoshop.. it's grey background has a weird effect like they are using 4 screens to make a single image...
seeing a line as if it was a stitched line going vertical and horizontal centre!

I tried to look for the lines but cannot see them now to take a photo.... either new firmwares have fixed this or I just cannot see it anymore...

found it... maybe it's like 2 screens side by side! or 4 screens... 2 side by side/2 top of each other

This could be the best 4K image quality I ever seen!

Do any of you have a picture you believe is better?

I have seen this line on Seiki @ 4k as well. Its when you turn up sharpness too high, and certain backgrounds usually grey gradient you see the line appear.

Hey guys anyone get the 50" to work right at 4k? Need to switch out from my 4 Dell Surround and was keen to have a computer monitor if not surround be able to game, watch movies, 3d, and connect my Wii U to. This would be perfect it worked and not sure if the kinks were fixed yet.

Is it just me or is the input lag less with sharpness set at zero?
