Doesn't matter. Whichever is the best value in your opinion. Even if that includes your choice of processor

Asrock Extreme 6 Z87 non-ac model. Make sure to update BIOS as soon as you get it though. Stock BIOS is buggy and most of the reviews on newegg will point that out.

Biostar Hi-Fi Z87W + 4670K if you don't plan Crossfire/SLI.

Explain why you picked that if you don't mind DeX. I've been doing some research on it and don't know a whole lot about Z87 chipset or what would be the best value cpu with the LGA 1150.

I see your beast has that mobo, what cpu and what do you suggest goes well with it? If you could do something different with this mobo, what would you do? thumb.gif

Because it has all the standard features Z87 chipset provides with good VRM and very affordable price. It also has OK audio, and better what you will find in all the boards in the same price range. If you're looking for the best value, that's generally Biostar since closest competitors with similar feature set cost around $150. Of course, you also take risk by dealing with a less popular brand, but hey you asked for the best value.

The only obvious downside with Z87 Biostar boards is that none of them support SLI.

X board is recommended for Crossfire due to its X8/X8 configuration while W runs X4 on the 2nd slot.

The perfect all-around CPU would be the 4670k. The 4770k is better but marginal at best.
