Stuck on Win 7 installation screen

Thread Starter
I'm having all sorts of issues trying to install Windows 7 on a clean system. After booting from CD and getting to the pretty blue installation screen, it just hangs there for a while with no installation window until the screen turns black and I have to shutdown the computer manually. This has happened with both the CD bootup and booting from a USB stick...same thing. To make matters worse, I grabbed a copy of Win 8.1 and booted from USB and the same exact thing happens! It just hangs on the installation screen with no install window until my screen just goes black.

I've tried removing all unnecessary USB components (just mouse and keyboard) and tried only using one stick of memory to no avail. I've heard using integrated graphics is an option, but my mobo has no integrated graphics so I'm stuck with using my video card. I've also reset the cmos and there was no difference.

Any ideas would be greatly helpful. I've been at this thing for literally days now and am running out of ideas.

1)Attempt to go straight to BIOS,
And set boot attempt to USB 1st priority then CD drive, but make sure your hdd/ssd is last priority.

2)If this does not work, iv seen attempts that people add cd like 5-10 times and then it finally randomly works, which is strange idk why but even iv experienced it and it worked.

(I am sure you did the 1st suggestion by now, but fool around with it)

Also can you clarify what you mean by booting win 7 and 8.1?

Which windows did you orginally have installed? 7?

And if you had 7 and were upgrading to 8.1, you now tried to boot it using 8.1 correct and not 7?

3)Also on BIOS on CPU side idk if its same with intel but it shows somewhere "allow the use of other OS system bia cpu boot"" or something along that line, check that its set at windows 8, my amd chip had that option.

(ps i am putting all propable options so that we dont have back and fourth questioning haha)

make sure only your main hdd is connected on ur desktop and disconnect all other backups.
