Contest Rules:
  • Competitors each month are selected by nomination
  • Any member may nominate any other member's work
  • A member may nominate their own work at any time

  • Any build log is eligible so long as it meets the following criteria:
  • It is posted by an Oveclock.net member
  • Any build that is being done by a member for another person is considered to be the entry of the person performing the work
  • If there is question over who the credit for a build should go to, the build should not be considered eligible for nomination
  • In the event multiple members have worked on a project, the project should only be considered eligible if one of the members was clearly the primary contributor of both inspiration and work (this rule will be enforced by the honor of the members involved unless contested, in which case a staff member will consider the issue and post a decision)

To accommodate for an additional 240 radiator, the back panel of the case was modded with two fan holes the radiator mounts to. As a highlight to this piece, a custom rad grill was designed and with channels to feed El Wire through to illuminate the fans. The rad grills were designed into the overall theme of the build...Half-Life.

I backlit it using LED strip hidden behind the motherboard and both radiators. The top radiator was installed using some custom brackets I made from 5mm aluminium. One of the top fans had to be modified to allow for the 8 pin power plug. The front was opened up with the Dremel and a new mesh panel put in.
I don’t use/need an optical drive so that is gone. Storage is a single SSD hidden behind the motherboard- It will get another in RAID shortly. All other storage is NAS. Fans are all PWM from the board so no need for a controller.
I used EK water blocks, D5 pump top and res. Primochill rigid tubing and fittings with bitspower adaptors. Primochill red coolant with mayhems dye to darken it.
Hardware- 4770K, Asus Hero, 16 GB Corsair Pro, EVGA GTX780, XSPC AX360s, Samsung 840 Pro. It will be getting a second GTX780 after Christmas.
Overclocking it now but no final benchmarks yet.
