Matrix 7970-P overclocking.

Thread Starter
I have been experimenting OCing with my Matrix 7970 Platinum, for now, here are my settings and is there anything to make this more stable (voltage, etc)? I tried having the voltage at 1280 on 1175MHz and that resulted in a force-reboot when playing BF4. Here is a pic of my settings (Power target is 120% and LLC is 75%, heaven temps are mostly around 62C)

isn`t 1.3v way too high? What clocks can you achieve on 1.2v?

I am unaware, at 1280Mv, I got a blank screen when running BF4, I was running well earlier @1.3
Edit: Dropped down to 1269, testing.

Well, I got it to 1175MHz, 1270Mv and stable. Won't break 60C on Heaven due to a custom fan profile, but I can see the tiiiinyest of artifacting, but pretty the same thing occurs on stock. I am now testing BF4.

Aren't these clocks a little on the low side for a 7970 Matrix Platinum?

Yeah, but I don't really want to comprimise longitevty, too many artifacts, etc for a bit more FPS. I got the Matrix because I found it dirt cheap , it looked good, and I could OC it a bit to my liking. I got a GSOD in BF4 when running at those, so I set GPU Tweak to sync the voltages (back in the 1.3's and there is no artifacting in heaven.
