This is an overview of the upgrade.Case
All builds need to have something to go in which will provide better airflow unless you stick it right under you A/C. Corsair Obsidian Series cases are some of the best out there right now.Motherboard
This motherboard I picked and the one you picked were pretty much the same except for mine is a little cheaper. It still has the main features that yours had.Graphics Card
Both Mobo's had and onboard video card, Intel HD Graphics, thus eliminating the need for a discrete card for extra money. This also frees up PCI-e slots for RAID Controllers or SSD's in the future.Cooling
All heat generating parts need to be cooled (i.e. CPU, GPU, etc.). If you even play on overclocking 0.1GHz, Intel stock heatsinks won't do you one bit of good. Get an aftermarket heatsink, and then start looking into AIO Liquid Coolers.Disk Drive
Really? When do you use it other than your OS install? You don't! Most games and movies (and porn
) that you watch are downloaded from the internet. Get an external that connects via USB or take one from a computer you already have, but don't buy a new one for one time use.Storage
Get the 64GB SSD just for your OS install and put everything else on the HDD. Make sure you install OS with just the one SSD install in the computer. Windows can be stupid. I've seen Windows Vista install the WINDOWS folder on one drive and everything else on another.
reading comprehension, get some. this is a gaming only computer i need a gpu, i have a case, im getting a cooler after i do more research, better to have and not need then to not have and need, no.

760 watts is also overkill unless a second video card will be added
said i may get a second gpu when someone said get a 550w. also psu's run there most efficient at 50-60%

okay im half through the list of games installed and i give up writing them manually, basically I have all 327 games on my Steam account installed, for those who are interested, here's the "current list"
. Most important games are on the SSD, rest on the HDD. I have also a couple old windows installation backups, and tons of all other random data, for school etc etc, and I'm nowhere near filling up my 256GB SSD + 1TB on HDD's combo.
not getting the ssd i still see it as a waste. im a patient man.

staying with the 280x, your right i think im going back to the ud5.
