SLI setup using 2x MSI GTS 250 1GB cards (help needed) - Page 2

Thread Starter
Wow, that's easy? Well I guess I'm gonna give it a go then. Thank you to all that assisted me (that means everyone in this thread). I'm gonna do SLI for now then hopefully get a 7850 end of December depending if I work my ass off or not this December.

To Pure Cure:
Hehe, I'm in Durban, and I get my components from Rebel Tech, and I've only bought on item from landmark pc.

OP with such a low budget spending on a core i5 is a waste. SLI on old DX10 cards is also a bad idea.

core i3 3240 - 1407

Corsair 4GB DDR3 - 565

CORSAIR VS450 - 438

SAPPHIRE HD 7790 - 1853

TOTAL 4990

this config is well balanced with a good entry level DX11 graphics card. btw HD 7790 is faster than GTX 460 and HD 6850 . HD 7790 is easily faster than GTS 250 SLI with support for the latest DX11 feature set thumb.gif

This time last year I did my upgrade. Motherboard, CPU and RAM cost me R4890 from landmark. Checked the price of the RAM last month and it went up by over 200%
