Can I use Coleman Cable 16-100-11 Primary Wire wire for making custom length PSU cables?

The wire is too thick at 2.64mm. It's designed as general purpose wiring for automobiles, boats, trucks, buses, tractors, trailers, and other motor-driven equipment.

Ideally you need wire that's no more than 2.3mm in diameter. Typically 18AWG is around 2.0-2.2mm in diameter.

The only place to get the right diameter 16 gauge wire is through LutroO? FrozenCPU has some but they don't specify the diameter, and Performance PC doesn't have 16 ga wire. Anyone have a cheap source of the appropriate diameter wire? I cant find one. Love LutroO stuff, but it not the cheapest...blushsmiley.gif or should I give standard 18ga wire a try?

Why do you think you need 16AWG wire, 18AWG is normally enough?

Whereabouts are you?

California, and LutroO uses a thin diameter 16 ga wire that I use and also offers it for sale too. I like it but I'm looking for a less expensive source.
