HELP!
Good day to all, I am new to overclocking and I dont know why I cant reach at least 3.0ghz frown.gif
I have a stock fan,
Emaxx A55GT - Icafe for my mobo,
2gb 1333 ram 2x,
Antec VP450 for my PSU

im using bios to overclock and i can only get it to 2.8ghz max, when i tried to add more, even at 2.9ghz i get a blue screen and i need to put it back to only 2.8ghz.
dont know whats happening frown.gif help will be much appreciated.

here's my cpu-z

Are you using the multipliers to clock it?

These are the only options i have in my bios, and i only change the CPU Fid Boost, not sure if that's enough.. thanks!

You'll probably need to take control of CPU voltage and give it a bit more to get much clock improvement out of it. You'll need to look up what the maximum long-term safe voltages/temps are for these chips, and keep them in check while trying to OC. Trying to OC on stock coolers is often a pain as thermal problems crop up before getting very far. An inexpensive large heat-pipe based cooler will typically overcome the thermal problem and you'll find the limits of something else before you run into a thermal problem on the chip.

If the mobo is what I think it is... you'll be pushing your luck with much OCing if the CPU is often run hard. the VRM configuration doesn't look particularly beefy.

i have added some voltage and manage to have a stable 2.9ghz, i changed the cpu voltage to 1300 and that's the maximum that i can have with my mobo, not sure why. guess im stuck at 2.9ghz frown.gif

Default cpu core voltage is around 1.4v, i think your mobo definitely have reach max voltage it can go. Try to change for a better mobo.

Btw my cpu full load

idle
