Hello people,

Just a couple of questions...

I'm adding to my custom loop an additional 120 rad. What I have is a 360 rad now but I am able to reach temps on my FX-8150 that are limiting my OC. I figured it wouldn't hurt to add another 120 rad to help lower the water temps and maybe lower the CPU temps.

What I am also wondering is if anyone uses a filter in their loop. I noticed some really fine white particulate in water when I removed my ASUS HD-7970 DCUII (sent in for repair). I don't know what it is, I only use the clear EK coolant, nothing else. It seems to be sticking on the tubing, so I'm kind of thinking the tubing is breaking down for some reason. Anyway, I'd like to get it out of the water I think.

I'm also considering adding a EK Crosshair V Formula-Z MOSFET/990FX combination waterblock as I am getting temps almost to 80c according to my infrared thermometer. Seems that would be contributory to higher CPU socket temps at the very least and most likely a large part to my overclocking limitations.

So I will have 3 waterblocks, perhaps a water filter, all being supplied by a single pump on the Kookance RP-401X2. Is this enough pump, or should I add a second pump in the adjoining reservoir?

What about flushing out these loops. Is there any loop flush, like a radiator flush that would clean this stuff without taking everything apart? Seems to me maybe just the regular radiator flush diluted with distilled water should work OK. Also, why not just use a bit of pure antifreeze mix with distilled water, instead of this $20 per liter coolant?

Thanks for any insight.
