60c for only 50% load is bad. What is your room temperature?

I never overclocked. I just built my computer yesterday. And do you mean RMA CPU or RMA Heatsink?
Room temp is about 70F.

lolzorz you're going to shorten the life of you CPU if you go under full load for very long constantly. my full load goes up to 70*C but that should be fixed tomorrow.

The 9500 relies HEAVILY on case airflow... if you have crap airflow, you'll have crap cooling with that HSF.

When it's running try pushing on the heatsink towards the motherboard gently and watch your temps. If they go down, your heatsink doesn't have enough pressure to efficiently transfer heat.

Also you could reseat using AS5.

Okay, I applyed Artic Silver 5. The first time I didn't put enough and my idle temps went up to 60C. So, after that I reapplyed more.

My Asus monitor is telling me 35C and Speedfan is telling me 35C. Core Temp is telling me 48C and 46C for both cores. I don't know, but as of now, I am going with the first two. All these temperatures are at idle.

Something about AS5 mentioned that I should wait for like a 200 hour period and the temperatures will go down by like 5 - 7 C more.

Thanks everyone. I think I am okay for now, unless Core Temp is right and the other two are glitched.

Using torture test, under 50% load, temps are about 42C on AIbooster and Speedfan. They are 53/54C on Core Temp.

Under 55 is safe, your good. Geeze that stuff on stock must suck more than I remembered. Under 60 is where you want it usually

Also you say 42 then core temp. Could you mean 42 for cpu? That sounds right with a zalman and maybe 55 on the NB/SB? Since they usually run hotter

Yeah, CPU is 42C for 50% load. Core Temp the program is telling me that under 50% load I am getting 53/54C.

And what program do I use to detect temperatures on my NB/SB?
