The Ti is faster than a 7770 IRRCC.

Thanks for the answers. Maybe I should swap my 6570 to the 7770. I don't think he would notice. lol

You're wrong, GTX650 Ti is better than HD7770, you're confused with GTX650 (non Ti) i think...

Just what I said. The 650 Ti is faster by about 15-20%, but the 7770 is about 15-20% faster than the 650.

I would have a hard time buying into an NV card right now until they revise their compute side performance. The prevailing winds point to openCL performance effecting more and more mainstream apps in the coming years. The HD7770 happens Also happens to run higher FPS in LoL while using less power, so maybe is a more "optimized" choice for this build.

That said, location/price price depends. Look at your price points for HD7750, HD7770, GTX650Ti and GTX650.... you could just pick whichever of those is cheapest and have a great LoL card.

The 7750 and r7 250 has the same price here. I think I'll get him the 7750 since it doesn't take that much power. I'll just tell him to upgrade soon if he wants to play other games besides LoL. Still ain't sure about the processor. I guess the 965 won't be good in here. Pretty hot and requires a lot of power compared to Intel. If he's willing to spend more, maybe I should get an i3 or an i5.

The 965 is still a great chip in many regards. Ultimately the best value will depend on local availability/pricing.
