I recently started a networking project in which I ran Cat 5e cable from our Xfinity Cable Modem through the wall and ceiling in order to give a wired connection to a streaming box in the living room. Here's the current network arrangement:

There's an Xfinity Cable Modem which also serves as our router. A Cat 5e cable goes from the modem to a D-Link DIR-825 Wireless Router which is currently configured and set in "Bridge Mode". There's another Cat 5e cable that goes from the cable modem to a NETGEAR FS108 10/100 Ethernet Switch that which is connected to two other cables that go from said switch to the ceiling and then to the living room. One of these cables is connected to streaming device and the other is connected to a NETGEAR WN802T v2 Wireless-N Access Point. One computer in the house is connected to the network through a D-Link DAP-1522 Wireless Bridge.

The problem is that the connection on streaming device doesn't appear to be as fast as it should be and webpages don't load very quickly on when using the WN802T access point. The access point is set up in a place where there wasn't normally a wireless connection but now that it's there, the network connection is much stronger, but webpages don't appear to load as fast as they should. Is this because the access point wasn't configured correctly? Should I return the 10/100 switch and replace it with a gigabit switch? Thanks for any help.
