New case, what should I get? - Page 2

Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 , Fractal Design Arc XL

also look at Cooler Master 690 III but there's added cost in changing the fans out (And the rear/bottom are 120mm size due to it being less wide)

I'm not a huge fan of Fractal cases. Not sure why, I guess it just seems like everyone and their dog has one, granted that's not a real complaint. I dont know, there is just something about them I don't like, can't put my finger on it.

Also refuse to buy that CM. My friend has one, he has to get it replaced, 3 TIMES because it lacked all HDD bays, sometimes even the front 5.25" bay covers.

Your price range limits you. The Corsair 750D is one of the first cases that came to mind as a quality case with above average airflow and the size to fit a lot of parts. I do not have much experience with NZXT cases outside of their cheapest models, which I found to be crap (this is almost always the case with any company's cheapest case, though). Most of the cases I pay attention to are above your price range. As for Fractal, I agree. I'll just list some cases in that price range and what I think of them.

CoolerMaster HAF ($130) - I hate the plastic in this case and think it's not the classiest of cases. However, I have seen classy variations of it that modders managed to come up with. If you are going to mod it, it's something to look at. Otherwise I'd stay away from it.

Corsair 750D ($160) - I actually think this and the Antec below are your "safest" bets in this price range based on my own experience. The money saved can be put towards a power supply or memory or something you deem more important.

Antec 1200 ($165) - This is an air flow god. We have one in our house (older, 2008 model) and the only thing we dislike about it when considering the price is the lack of a removable motherboard and how "look at me im a gamer" it looks. If your priority is air flow and size, this will get you where you need to go.

Silverstone FT04 ($230) - Just outside of your price range, the only thing I dislike about this new case is the front door being plastic. The door can be replaced if you want to make a metal one, and the rest of the case is aluminum. Very good case.

There are others, but I'd rather not overwhelm you. smile.gif As for NZXT, all I know is that they are getting very popular among reviewers and have been innovating quite a bit. There are a TON of them in the price range too. Narrow down by features you want, look at reviews (Anandtech actually has some decent case reviews, but they are no where near as thorough as other reviewers mentioned on here). What it all comes down to is what features you want out of the case. If you prefer a classier look and a less "IM A GAMER" type of case, the Corsair or any of the NZXTs are what I would recommend.
