Matrix 7970 Platinum OC Advice/Help

Thread Starter
Yesterday, I set out to OC my 7970 Matrix with some success. The core seems to be stable at 1200, but the memory does not like OCs beyond the 6700 mark, or it will get artifacts in BF4, which is pretty buggy and is prone to issues. I would like some advice on how to cure the artifacting (adding voltages, etc) when OCing my Matrix Platinum,, which does not seem to be a golden chip.

by trial and error. lower your oc in small steps until the artifacts don't show up anymore. that's it.

stick to 6400 mhz for memory. for the core if you want to go higher you have to increase voltage using asus gpu tweak. then find out the stable combination of voltage and clocks by testing with benchmarks / games.

Ah, I am trying 6680 and 1.3V@1180 core right now. Hope it goes well.

Well, that worked quite well, except for an area in BF4 that had weird texture issues, but that is an isolated case and looking up fixed it. I moved back down to 1600Mv and 6600MHz memory to be safe. I also bumped up the core voltage to 1310Mv and that should do.
