Dell H310 Creating No physical memory error HELP

Hello everyone,

Well its my first full dive into a full hard raid system. I have the following setup but i am running into problems. (detailed below)

Mobo: Striker 2 Formula
Ram: Crucial 6GB
VIdeo: GTX 8800
RAID Cards: 2x Dell H310

I have a Norco 4224 case with 6 rows of SAS drives. Wiring the SAS drives into the controllers gives me the ability to create and manage the drives in the controller bios. However Free NAS, NAS4free and Windows Server 2008 RC2 all crash on boot. Kernal panic, Kernal Panic, and No physical memory error respectively.

Is there a way to remap the controller memory? I have tried disabling everything I could think of in the mobo bios but no luck.

Please help.

I have a h310 that I flashed to a lsi2008 in IT mode and I'm using it in freenas. Try flashing the card for nas4free or freenas to IT mode aka jbod so that the zfs file system can have control over your disks.

Hello,

Thank you for the information,

So far I have been unsuccessful at following the flash instructions. It now appears that the Nvidia controller will not work along side the Dell h310 system creating a conflict. I have tested it on a non NVIDIA board however the board I have here will not yet meet my needs...

This will be a difficult problem. Not sure if I can just disable the NVIDA controller but its not looking good.

Thanks
