[KG] Corsair Hydro H75 CPU Cooler Review - Page 2

Hi there,

Sorry to up this topic.

I've recieved months ago from Corsair France a present, the famous H75 you're talking about. It's just a wonderful product, compared to the stock aircooler of my old Athlon II 445. It overheated, heat gone more than 100°C... Now, with fan at less than 50% of their speed, it stucks at 40°C full load. I've just bought an FX 8320 yesterday that I'll cool with the H75, and I wonder if I'll be able to overclock it at 4.1-4.3Ghz, knowing that my PSU is a low noname @ 430 (or 450W, I don't have it underneath my eyes).

Yes it was a present, so I don't know if the H75 worths its price, but as a present, it does more than I expected ! And I hope it will do the same job for the FX 8320 !

By the way, I'm new at overclock.net and I'm frenchie, so they're some words that I don't understand and cannot find at wordreference, like KG from the topic's name... Could you tell me what does it mean except kilogram ?

It's also a tiny little 120mm slim rad beating the massive NH-D14, which you would normally require an H80 or H100 to do. Large step up form the H50 that roughly competed with the 212 EVO.

In fairness to Noctua, the NH-D14 is 5 year old technology, that being said, the H75 comes in ahead of it's big brother, the H90! which is surprising !smile.gif

I cannot imagine there being to much innovation or change left in the air tower market?

I agree with you, as we can see across all cooling products, new lines offer only marginal (if any) improvements on their predecessors / competition.
All we can do is hope for something special........

There is one material that offers us a little hope and not just for cooling but that;s 5 or 6 years down the road, depending on funding.

That would be wicked. More than likely make light weight coolers as well.
