Advice on a Eyefinity setup

Thread Starter
Im currently looking to have a eyefinity setup with 3 monitors plus 1 tv
I was looking at ASUS VN247H-P for the monitor and was gonna use the hdmi for the tv
I currently have a 5770 but ill probably be upgrading my mobo and card
I was looking at the R9 290

So how would I go about doing all this would I have to do a card with 2 mini display ports to active hdmi one dvi and the hdmi running to the tv?

Edit:so currently all the 290s only have 2 dvi-d and a full display port so I have no idea now

a reference R9-290 has 2x DVI, 1x DP and 2x HDMI.

As the ASUS VN247H-P does only have 2x HDMI and D-sub ( VGA) input you would need 2x DVI->HDMI Active Adapter and one DP->HDMI adapter To connect 3 Monitors + 1 TV via HDMI.

i myself would never buy a Monitor without DP and DVI input.

According to techpowerup about the new 290s
Please note that the DVI outputs no longer support analog monitors. AMD also improved their display controller hardware, so you can now use three HDMI/DVI monitors at the same time without having to buy an active DP-to-DVI adapter (this was a requirement to providing the TMDS clock signal for the third monitor on previous generation cards).

So instead im now looking at
Asus VE248H and the R9-290 only has one hdmi port
