I always end up buying a PS after the initial price drop (did this with PS2 and PS3) for the exclusives (Final Fantasy, etc) or games that I just generally enjoy playing more from my couch (e.g. GTA, other platformers, Madden, etc) as opposed to my desk. FPS it's no content though - always a PC. Playing a FPS with a controller has never been something I found enjoyable.
I generally only use my PC for strictly online FPS and MMOs now (these are the titles that I play 90% of the time now anyways). I can't get myself to play a single player game unless it's from my couch (even things like Skyrim I got for the PS3... I know I know, no mods) - maybe I'm just getting old?
tl:dr it's not all about the specs, different people find different values in having a console (along with a PC)....
well most of the time im in my desk playing MMO's, RTS and FPS too haha so its seems we are in the same track.
maybe its not really worth it buying one this christmas, since its like a beta ps4 for me (too many problems, bugs) maybe summer when there are many titles and prices have drop and stocks are adequate enough lol
