I think I may have found the problem. You were right, I was careless at monitoring the GPU. I wasn't monitorig it during games, but rather in a stress test. The GPU was being utilized 100% there. Also while watching a 4K video it was 97%. Assassin's Creed 4 at the lowest settings runs at 9fps. I launched GPU-Z before staring the game. Ran around the city a little bit (AT 9FPS LOL!) Then immediately checked the sensors at GPU-Z. The maximum load of the GPU was 67%, and that wasn't even constant. As you can see from that picture, it was just a spike, while minimizing the game! The actual utilization was less than 10%.
But that makes no sense at all. I had a problem with MOH blacking out the screen in multiplayer, and I changed the setting in settings.ini from Dx version Auto to Dx version 9. So I logged in again in mp with no visual problems, ran put GPU-Z into the sensors tab, and played some. The really strange thing is that fps improved to 35 which is perfectly playable. I minimized to see what the sensors are rading - max 9% gpu utilization? What the f...!
Assassin's Creed 4 does not utilize the GPU and it doesn't run good, Medal of Honor suddenly decided to run perfectly fine again WHITOUT utilizing the GPU. 4K video and stress testing does! I dunno what to make of this. Assassin's Creed is ****ed up probably because I'm using 2 year old drivers. That's okay, but why the sudden change in Medal of Honor? Hmmm... I have to do some more investigating with better tools and more games. I'll get back to ya.
EIDT: GPU-Z is so full of bs. EVGA Precision showed 95-97% utilization at the now apparently playable MOH (35fps at max, no AA) and 99% in the unplayable AC4.(9fps at lowest, no AA)Edited by TheWhiteStig - 11/21/13 at 4:33am
