Gaming Laptop

Hey guys,

I'm picking up a gaming laptop in the next few days and, I'm on quite a budget. I've found two things.

http://hamilton.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-computers-laptops-ASUS-G46v-Gaming-Laptop-2-WEEKS-OLD-W0QQAdIdZ544171085

and

http://hamilton.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-computers-laptops-Black-MSI-Gaming-laptop-W0QQAdIdZ538703730

I've negotiated the MSI down to 750, but I don't know how much I can do with the G46v. What would you guys recommend bang/buck? I was leaning towards the G46v bang for buck, especially if I can bring him down to say, $550. I doubt I'll be able to get him down much though. Just not exactly well versed on laptop hardware so much.

Thanks,
Xero.

Edit: I mostly play DOTA 2, so that's more or less my benchmark. Would like to play other stuff tho.

What "other" stuff? I need it to be specific on what certain games that you would like to play with.
Anyway, I believe MSI is a better choice due to it has i7 quad core CPU while ASUS Has i5 with dual core CPU.

Right now? I don't really have anything else that I play/would like to. I may play an MMO that comes out , I'd like to manage it on low-medium if at all possible but my expectations aren't that high. More or less if it can play Dota and be able to watch HD video without issue, I'll be happy with anything else I'll want to do/

Do they both have DDR5 VRAM? if one uses DDR3 VRAM then i would go for the one with DDR5 VRAM

i'd also look for some reviews to see if the cooling is decent enough.

Well, the ASUS laptop has been sold out, so you are going to get to the MSI laptop.

http://hamilton.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-computers-laptops-Lenovo-idea-pad-Y500-gaming-laptop-W0QQAdIdZ535909950

How about this laptop?
It is Lenovo IdeaPad Y500 using GT 750m, and it cost $850 which it is a nice deal I guess.
You can throw in another GT 750m to make GT 750m SLI which it'll outperform GTX 660m or GTX 670m easily.
