Need a new budget processor!

Thread Starter
Hey!

Ok, my question is basically: How viable is an i3 for gaming and take in to consideration this is the only bottleneck in the computer. My specs are Sabertooth P67, i7-2700k(Dead, why I need a new one) 240gb HyperX SSD, Asus 650Ti DCII Boost OC 2gb.

The reasons for me considering an i3 is that I'm only 17 and I'm all out of money at the moment and I'm tired of watching my computer collecting dust in the corner of my room.
The processor I'm looking at is the i3-2120 3.3Ghz

Also I know that processors don't determine game performance, to a certain point of course. But will this setup terribly affect my performance?
My uses are mostly surfing, bf 3-4, wow, photoshop, a little bit of programming and planning on starting video editing. (Nothing hardcore)

Thanks a lot for answers!

It would chug a bit in heavy battlefield multiplayer.

Other than that you probably won't notice too much of a difference.

Thanks for a quick answer! I havent really played a lot of games lately so that's fine, I don't expect I'll notice much difference in everyday use either? I.e Photoshop and surfing.

Does anyone know how viable it is to overclock an i3? Since there are no unlocked i3s I figure it won't be as stable.
