Which PSU for this build?

Thread Starter
So I'm building my very first gaming PC pretty soon. However I'm not sure which Power supply I should get. This is what I plan to order: http://www.komplett.dk/k/shoplist.aspx?mode=receive&si=1309169&su=3FCF73CB-A111-4B00-8997-D069C691F6B4

So I don't know if I want the 550W or the 650W for this build. I'm going to wait for the release of 290 custom cards so I don't have to use the reference cooler. I don't plan to Overclock, but I'll do it if I feel like the perfoance is lacking.

I think you should go with the 650 just to be safe, and you should also probably go with something more reliable from Corsair or maybe Cooler Master, seeing your limited options on that store. I don't recommend the TX650, even though it seems perfect. That's because I have one, and the fan on it won't spin for whatever reason, and it just makes a really annoying noise instead. This seems to be a problem with most TX series PSU's. I'm not going to point a single power supply because I'm not sure how much you're willing to spend on one.

dont limit yourself to such low wattage. the PSU you will own for a longer time then anything. in order of quality:

Corsair AX860i
Corsair AX860
Corsair HX850 (or 750)
Corsair TX750 (v2 model only!)

choose how much you want to spend and go with one of those.
