Korean monitor - Achieva Shimian QH2700 or Crossover 27qw?

Ok so clearly the korean monitor topic has been beaten to death HOWEVER I was not able to find much information on these newer displays....

Looks like both Achieva and Crossover have released updated models featuring an LG AH-IPS panel rather than the S-IPS featured on the original Crossover 27q and the Achieva qh270. Interestingly, although these panels are claimed to be of higher quality (or at least newer technology) than their elder counterparts they are also cheaper. Regardless....

I am interested in one of these two models for the features and price point. I am used to a glossy display and prefer it so that's part of the reason I'm leaning towards these two.

The 27qw hovers around $300, while the qh2700 is around $340. Both of these look like they have plastic housings unlike the older crossover monitors with a metal housing. The qh2700 looks a little spiffier although the 27qw also has speakers (probably junk, but might be handy).

Does anyone who has personal experience with these models (not the previous ones) want to weigh in? I've found lots of information about the earlier models but not much about these.

Get the CROSSOVER 27QW. Glossy displays are overrated and worse in my opinion. They tend to glare a lot and ever since moving to a matte finish I've not ever considered going back.

Actually I believe both monitors are glossy, unless I am mistaken...

Just go with the cheaper one then. They will both be pretty similar then.

You could always get a QNIX QX2710 Evolution II or X-Star DP2710. Both of them are matte and have great reviews.

Get either one.

The QNIX QX2710 can be overclocked so if you're a gamer you should get this. The X-STAR DP2710 is the same monitor. These monitors use PLS technology so they're going to be slightly better than IPS monitors in terms of color reproduction, contrast ratio and viewing angles.

Or if you want better build quality and exterior aesthetic looks get the CrossOver 27Q LED.
