XFX Geforce 7600GT XXX 590/1.6gig????

The stock clock only shows as 590/800 on both my Soltek K-890 Pro and
my DFI NF4 SLI. I can't get the memory past 930MHz.

Is it pencil mod time or what?

You are most likely going to need more voltage to get it higher. Most Can't get as high as you got it without more voltage.

Now that's a thought I neglected.

*EDIT: But changing the PCI bus to anything past 110MHz won't log into windows XP*

if your memory is at 934 that is in fact 1868 mhz , you gota double it up its DDR ( double data rate ) so thats a pretty good overclock.

So, that means my 6600GT w/GDDR3 is actually clocked @ 1200/2400MHz?

According to Samsung parts # decoder these are the DDR chips on both cards:

Gigabyte 6600GT 128MB #K4J55323QF -BC20

K4 = Samsung memory: DRAM

J = GDDR3 SDRAM; 55 = 256M,4K/32ms; 32 = 32:x32; 3 = 4Bank, Q = SSTL2,
1.8V, 1.8V; F = 7th Generation
-BC20: B = 136ball FBGA(Lead Free); C (Comercial, Normal), 20 = 2.0ns (500MHz)

XFX 7600GT XXX 256MB #K4J52324QC -BC14

52 = 512M, 8K/32ms; 32 = 32:x32, 4 = 8Bank; Q = SSTL2, 1.8V, 1.8V;
C = 4th Generation
-BC14: B = 136ball FBGA(Lead Free); C (Comercial, Normal); 14 = 1.429ns(700MHz)

So, is the XFX using older stock chips?

newer cards read real speed and not DDR

So the XFX 7600GT is really 590/800 and the 6600GT is 1200/2400?

*This thread is now a mute point as I just swapped the 7600GT for 2 6600GT's.*
