What you people are essentially saying is that all riced up designs that aren't using the very highest end GPU are stupid and shouldn't exist. This card is an ROG product, they're never good price/performance and I don't know why people still expect them to be.
Higher end non ref riced up designs for lower end GPUs are pretty much the same thing as high end mobos for mainstream sockets. Makes no sense price/performance wise but at least with CPUs and mobos people can understand that for some people it's not all about price/performance.
Buying this card or a matrix card or an extreme board or any other overpriced ROG product isn't stupid. You just get a choice, you can either buy a bare bones design with good price/performance or a higher end design with more features with worse price/performance.
High end mobos aren't complicated to understand so I don't get it why people can't understand the same things when it comes to GPUs.
I wouldn't buy this just like I wouldn't buy a Maximus VI Extreme, but I'm not going to call this card or the Maximus VI Extreme bad products or the people who buy them stupid just because I can't see the value for my own usage.
Though I agree that this product is a niche product for ROG lovers, still we are used to seeing ROG products that are built with 2 high end GPUs.
In this case the product is built on 2 mid range GPUs. Therefor I do not expect this to be a hot product like the previous ROG editions.
If this was Asus Gtx 780 Mars than that would be amazing for instance.
