Very true. But I made other decisions to go for this motherboard. It is part of a big casemod in black and orange theme. PLus we weren't discussing my system, we were discussing the gfx card at hand
Wether people will buy it or not is truely their own reasoning. They don't have to ask us permission. But this doesn't change the arguments. Even my silly UP7 motherboard has its place in the range Gigabyte has. It is the summum of the Z77 range with special features for the LN2 overclocker. The 2*760 MARS is not. This is what I tried to explain. If they would slap a pcb with 2 780 chips it would be the 790 (for example) and beat the TI by a big margin. In other words; best of the best There is no substitute in a single GPU card. And in that range apparently money doesn't matter. Look at the price of a Titan. But the market the MARS is in is already filled with better alternatives, cheaper alternatives, alternatives that make more sense.
