New Graphics Card help

Thread Starter
Right now I'm running a system with a GTX 570 because my last card i had to sale due to financial issues.

Now the time has come months later that I have the money to upgrade it back up again but with the release of the new AMD R9 290X and R9 280X cards, I don't know what to do. stay with Nvidia or go to the red team.

I play at one screen 1080 monitor but I want all the eye candy I can have turned up max, especially with BF4 out now and more new generation games on the way, what would be my best option.

I was looking at the GTX 780 TI or the R9 290X atm!

I would specially like to suggest you to get a R9 290. Even if you are playing at 1080p, the 290 right now has the best price/performance and is also future proof if you decide to upgrade the screen to 1440p. I'd suggest you go with this model as the latest news doing circles around the enthusiast forums is that the Powercolor one can be unlocked to the much expensive 290x thereby getting you the flagship performance at ~400$ pricetag.

Here's something you could refer

Anyone know what the base clock speed is on this card?

Considering ordering it. Also which drivers are the best for it?

Well from looking I don't want the 780 TI the price is too high, and I don't do overclocking so now its between the GTX 780 and the R9 290x, single screen at 1080 I know both of these will be enough just want the overall more average FPS the car would give me.
