Load Line calibration Error with ASUS 7970 Matrix Platinum GPU tweak 2.4.3.1

Hi, I am quite new here, i have owned a ASUS 7970 Matrix Platinum for a month after a faulty Asus DCU 2 Top edition which was unstable at 2D clocks.

I have had issues with overclocking my matrix but have found that turning down the load line calibration increases my core voltage (which is reported in GPU tweak
2.4.3.1) This could be a bug with the software but before my max overclock was around 1170Mhz (+70 Mhz on the core). After running the card on the minimum Loadline (25%) i am able to pass multiple loops of heaven and valley benchmark at 1200mhz and have done runs at higher voltages for 1340MHZ 1.3V., i hit thermal and PSU limitations, (675W thermatake tough power XT) Injunction with 3 HDD's a SSD, XSPC V3 Pump res and around 8 fans ~1300 RPM due to crashes and stability issues of raising the voltage above 1.28V reported on the GPU tweak software.
Seeing my temps always seam to jump 5 C when turning calibration off during benchmarking it would seam the software is reporting correct values.

Just like to share my finding in case anyone else is having issues overclocking there card biggrin.gif, as initially thinking it was a stinker at overclocking, i am happy with the results i am achieving. May have to get a waterblock to push beyond 1200mhz !

Hi, i think only the matrix edition cards have Load Line Calibration . But if you have a ASUS DCUII top you can unlock extra voltage up to 1.256V by flashing to matrix but i didn't remember having LLC control with bios modded card mind, As the DCUII the PCB is different as the matrix has more power phases and can push up to 1.32V (1.356V set in tool) + more if you GPU hotwire (+30mv offset) but i don't have a ROG motherboard.

The only reason i got the matrix is it was the cheapest 7970 available a month ago, just after the 280X was announced it had a one day sale of £220 and to replace a awful GTX 460 i had for 3 years before after its VRM's finally gave in (it was overvolted its whole life ).

I managed to stabilise a core of 1250mhz and played a hour of ARMA 2 at 1.23V which is vastly higher than with LLC on full !.
