Okay, I think I will try that tomorrow

As for today, I tried to do 1000mhz @ 2.45 and it still didn't boot. 1 more thing, you think the RAM timings need adjusting? Right now there @ 4-4-4-12, do you think if I raise them I can get @ 1000Mhz? If I raise them will they make my performance suffer?

Almost any DDR2-800 G.Skill should be able to hit 500mhz. You might have to loosen the timings .

Try 5-5-5-12 first if not then try 5-5-5-15

I lost 3334 points at 1:1 compared to 5:4

EDIT: Is that ram Micron D9 ram... I'm a little rusty on that brand's offerings?

If it's D9... and it isn't responding to voltage it's likely your timings/subtimings/drive strengths. Sadly I don't think your board has those options so I doubt you'll make it to DDR1000.

I think it is Micro D9, im pretty sure it is, I will try making it 5-5-5-12 and will run dual prime 95 tonight, last night I got 19 hrs w/o no errors with my current build (3.2 ghz 8x400 and 800mhz ddr2)

@1000Mhz

3dmark06 - 10843
3DMark05 - 17925

@800Mhz

3DMark06 - 10847
3DMark05 - 17707

So this is some interesting results.

My 3DMark05 is 218 points higher on 1000mhz but for 06 is it's 4 points lower. I am thinking it has something to do with the timings as on 1000mhz it boots @ 5-5-5-12 however for 800Mhz it boots @ 4-4-4-12. Is it smart to mix timings like a 5-4-5-4-12 or something like that on 1000mhz to squeeze a bit more out of it? Also, is it recommend I retest prime95 for 10+ hours just with a RAM overclock, or do you think it should be stable as long as it boots.
