The issue is I don't need a video card now, and I don't see that I need one for a year. So I wonder, why even bother.

Why the min 4.5ghz?

from my experience, 4.5 is the minimum for SB to properly push the 7900 series cards (single) in BF3 MP, especially 64. This should not change in BF4. I've not been able to monitor BF4 but I might today. Look at BF4 Beta MP 64 CPU usage . . .

Yeah I'm definitely going to wait. ATM the only game I play is BF4. If I migrate to Arma or anther game then it'll be worth thinking about this.

Til then, HT on and 4.5 I go.

I do, I never fiddled with it to know. I was just going by what the above poster said I should do.

Ive had bad boot caller error every time I load into a new map in BF4. Yesterday I raged hard and forced reset when that BSOD came up. It wouldn't boot up again except for 1 stick of ram. So I'm still in the process of debugging that first.
