Do you have any fans sending air to your motherboard's VRM's? That's the only thing I can think of, besides a bad heatsink-seating job near the socket, or a bad temp sensor...

Thought about re-seating the southbridge heatsink? I'm not sure where that sensor picks up its info, but I would imagine it would be somewhere that would need *some* type of cooling. Maybe one of those vinyl posts came a little loose?confusedsmiley.png

Sounds like faulty sensor. Static temperature in the extreme seems obvious. Just like TMPIN2 on my 990FX board. Either at 38°C or 95°C

Also note: There is no actual TMPIN2 sensor on my board....

Yeah, then there's this ^^^

I'm not terribly familiar with this board. Does Gigabyte have their own monitoring utility? Can you use SpeedFan to see if this is mirrored? After looking at AcEsSalvation's post, I decided to do this myself...

EDIT: Look at my temp2...

i've got the same kind of 'problem' as in this post, but with my asus mobo:

http://www.overclock.net/t/914959/asus-p8p67-pro-motherboard-sensor-fail#post_12010597

Sometime I see the exact same temperature (123), probably a sensore or software bug.
