Hi guys have a few questions ide like to bring up before I begin with my build log in the next few weeks. I am new to the forum so please bear with me:o.

Now I have a budget of £300 for a mobo... ide like to have a good solid mobo which will in the future support a multi GPU setup. (To start with i will only be using one GPU). I have done quite a large amount of reaserch but cant seem to chose between these three motherboards:

Gigabyte G1.Sniper 5 Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard -

Asus Z87 MAXIMUS VI EXTREME Intel Z87-

Gigabyte Z87X-OC Force Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard-

The reason i am looking at these boards is mainly because they have a PLX chip which will allow me to use quad/three way sli in the future. My main use will be for gaming/video editing. The colour scheme is also an important factor, ide like to know which would be best to go with regarding selecting custom water cooling/modding parts that match the colour scheme... Any suggestions?

Ide also like to point out that i was previously looking at the MSI z87 Mpower Max as i really like the yellow, but once again it does not have a PLX chip.

For gaming on a 3 monitor setup would there be much of a difference between a 2way sli setup or a 4way?

Thanks again.thumb.gif

VI Extreme because it's the cheapest out of these. Then Sniper because it probably fits your needs better with gaming oriented features.

If you're looking for the cheapest board with PLX it's Asus Z87 WS, and it's pretty good board, but yea it's gold.
