Battlefield 4 multiplayer stutter and lag with GTX 780 (nvidia cards)

So I've been getting terrible lag and stutter in game with my gtx 780 with all settings maxed. My Fps (using traps) usually is in the upper eighties or better, yet sometimes gameplay feels like I'm getting 15 -25. Is this game really this bad with nvidia cards? I've tried every beta and whql driver since the game's release including the new one just released today. It seems like there have been no improvements at all, at least in my experience. Anyone with a nvidia card or gtx 780 sharing my pain?

Could be servers? Unless if they fixed it already. Haven't tried the game yet, but from the beta......

Yeah I also played the beta, though not very much due to how much stutter I experienced during gameplay. This is also the reason I only played like and hour or two total of the beta. I purchased the game a month later thinking that most of these issues would be fixed or at least significantly better. I was wrong. I'm just trying to figure out if it's just me that is experiencing these problems or if there are many with stutter issues and Nvidia cards. Being as the game has been out for quite some time, it's starting to annoy me and making me regret my purchase.

AMD owners also feel free to chime in with your experiences with the game. I know there has been crashing when in game due to server issues, however dice has released a patch to fix some or most of that. With that said, I actually haven't had many problems with crashing. My main concern is just smoothness of gameplay, which in a heavily focused multiplayer game, this is very important.

As I've said before, I'm getting probably ~90 ish FPS (rough estimate) and it just feels like I'm getting dips to 15 - 20 or less. I've actually benchmarked the game using fraps and my minimum framerate was 76.

Same here mate, 780 ti, i74770k, game runs close to 60fps even with 200% resolution scale, but the constant shutter and lag is driving me nuts!

I love flying jets but entering the cockpit view makes me wona puke after a while. It shakes constantly.

It's only a bit better on the ground. Even the bloody kill cam feels like I am watching every 3rd or so frame and the rest is lost in the networks.

Thanks for your input man. At least I know I'm not the only one with issues. It's a really fun game but I find myself playing more bf3 because I just can't play with that choppiness. I can barely maintain a positive K/D ratio in bf4 and as soon as I switch over to bf3 my K/D is like 45/11.

Hey did you ever try 32 men conquest servers? Because last night for the first time I didn't play on 64 players server but on a 32 one and the difference was HUGE!

Even when I played on 64p servers with 32 ping I didn't have such a good game that I had last night on a 32 player server with 60 ping. It felt much better, much smother and I died 19 times and not once did I say "what just happened" !

I know a 760 wouldn't be a fair comparison to a 780, but I have this issue also. I don't think it's just issolated to Nvidia cards because I've run the game with a 7950 and even a 7970m, both are effected the same.

I believe the issue though is from the connection between the player and the server in multiplayer. No stuttering in single player. Worst part is that your ping could be the lowest you've ever seen, but that stuttering will still hit you in large servers.

All I can say is 10/10 coding from DICE sicksmiley.png

I haven't played in a couple of days and I just got off work so I might give it a try.

It's still in the same family of gpus and I'm sure you get very acceptable frame rates. I just hope dice fixes these issues soon so I can actually enjoy the gameplay instead of constantly being frustrated with every match.
