ddr/ddr2 mobo

I dont know much about ddr/ddr2 or 775 mobos because ive been using a 478 for the past 3yrs and thats the newist tech i have. but does anyone know if it is possible to use ddr and ddr2 at the same time, i have heard rumors of some mobos that have this option but im not sure about this one

i'm pretty sure you can't. in fact i would go to say NO and even if you did, it wouldn't make sense to.

wow, that's odd. i'm not sure if you can use them at the same time, maybe use DDR now, and DDR2 later...

well you see im not sure if iwant to go to ddr2 or not i allready have 768 of ddr and i only have enough money to go to a 512 stick od ddr2 667. not sure what to do.....

if you're going C2D, get the DDR2.

im not going c2d, but im getting a pentium d, 65nm,4mb cache, 800mhz fsb,3.00ghz, only $130 on new egg, i dont see whats so great about c2d

If you're getting a Pentium D, then it's not necessary to go DDR2, your DDR RAM should be fine.

I have a Pentium D 945 @ 4.51ghz and this E6600 @ 3.0ghz, overall, I prefer the E6600.
