Of course, that's a given.
The only real question is, how much did the sacrifice to be in home of most Americans?
Nvidia would have us to believe it was almost everything...
AMD doesn't answer...
That being said, Nvidia is strongly encroaching in formerly AMD dominated "markets" so, it's only wise to expect that it was quite significant.
Again, that's theory-crafting but, who really knows at this point.

And mantle is not an artificial boost. Most of the times helps with the cpu overhead. Instead to play it i know everything you should instead to read about mantle. Everytime that you post about mantle (even on a previous thread) you lost your credibility
That is your opinion.
I've tested mantle and have my opinion about it's performance.
Nvidia has crippled OCP and TDP in the past, as well as throttling PWM in an effort to control the overclocking of their cards. I point you to the entire 5xx series and the entire 4xx series, I also point you to 6xx.
Ways to alleviate that throttling were done via proprietary software like Precision, Afterburner et al.
As someone that has actually been testing mantle and has thoroughly tested the 290...Long before it hit the consumer markets...I have an opinion about the card.
I am of the opinion that some artificial throttling is occurring. For proprietary software to have that big of an effect, SOMETHING is being held back to enhance performance.
I really don't care if you agree w/me or not. Have been in this business for just about a decade...Have seen this cycle around 3-4x...It's always the same cycle...Same crap, different labels.
There is HISTORY actually supporting my theory because, this also isn't the first time that AMD has purposefully throttled a product, either.
Am I saying they're completely throttled, voltage limited, etc? No...That's silly...However, I am saying that mantle doesn't follow the guise of clean hands...I.E. There's a lot going on in the background that you're not aware of.
The interesting fact is how you're checking. Do you own any of these cards? How do you KNOW that's their best performance? Because even I, don't know what their top performance is...So, thus, your assumption that they're all operating at 100%, loses you some serious credibility there, sir. Performance almost always increases driver to driver and even I'll be among the first to tell you that we haven't seen all that the 290x is capable of, yet.
