Sound Blaster Z Sound Card?

Hello, I'm thinking of getting the Creative Sound Blaster Z I currently have the ASUS Xonar DG 5.1 Channels 24-bit 96KHz PCI Interface Sound Card . Is it worth upgrading to the Sound Blaster Z? I also have the Razer Carcharias headset.

I used to have a Xonar card as well (using a Sennheiser PC-350 headset) and now have a SoundBlaster Zx. In my experience, I found that the surround emulation over headphones on the SoundBlaster (SBX Surround) was better than Dolby Headphone that was used on my Xonar. It's difficult to describe the difference, but positionally everything sounded better and more realistic.

Since you're using a headset, this is something that you might be interested in. It also looks like your headset is analogue, so that's good since you'll be plugging it into the sound card. thumb.gif
