[Build Log] Silent water loop - HAF-X upgrade

So after not upgrading this rig for a long time I've decided I have to do it:
wheee.gif MY VERY FIRST WATER COOLING LOOP! wheee.gif

For now rig looks like this:
(old photo but nothing has changed)

Current component list: (Click to show)
  • 3930k in a good shape(stock) but with poor cooling
  • RivE with fried usb 3.0 ports
  • 3 HDDs including one ancient and one dead ^^
  • 2 SSDs in raid0 and another one for system
  • 64GB of slow RAM, but it's enough for most of the time
  • one dusty and noisy Corsair H100
  • one soundcard that cannot physically fit between graphics cards, but such a details couldn't stop me from installing it
  • PSU: 1000W OCZ ZX "Too Short Stock Cable" Edition
  • GPU: 2x 680 MSI Lightning with stock bios throttling like mad over 70℃
  • Case: good old HAF X

Main reason for this custom loop is lowering the noise levels both idle and load.
Gaming with fans@100% is anything but fun, rendering with H100 set on 'medium' is like rendering with hairdryer..

Secondary reason is to get rid of thermal throttling for CPU/mo-bo and for both cards under load and finally overclock something more than v-ram. rolleyes.gif
Third reason is to learn some watercooling gear and case modding techniques before X99 and Haswell-E is out.
..and yes, there is fourth reason. Cat-proofing my rig:

(You have no idea what this creature is capable of..)

Some loop details:
  • 2x SR1 420 rads
  • Single fans[140mm Noiseblockers PK-3]? (push or pull) PWM controlled
  • software control with aquaero 5
  • 16/10 EPDM rubber tubbing with nickel compression fittings
  • XSPC Photon pump-res combo with D5 vario
  • EK supremacy CPU waterblock
  • Chipset/mosfet waterblock (still undecided which one)
  • two EK fullcover GPU waterblocks

Now you have to forgive my photoshop "skills", it's time for the draft:

It looks horrible, but I cannot think of anything better atm.
Have I missed something obvious? sneaky.gif

i love the detail you put into diagram of your proposed water loop. if i drew that it would look something like this:

also does it ever get hilarious/creepy seeing giant ponies staring at you when you are on your desktop?
