As the title states, is there **** thermal compound between the heat spreader die? like the haswell chips?

Nope its soldered on, intel didnt want haswell 2.0 in the same year tongue.gif your temps should be fine.

No and temps are really good. I had a 3930K for a week and ran 7-10C hotter than my 4930K both at stock speeds.
