Creative Soundblaster Z sound problem

Thread Starter
Hey you all overclockers. I have tried to find a solution to my problem by searching google but couldn't find an answer to my problem so I decided to start a new thread and hopefully get a solution for this annoying problem.
The problem is appearing always when I'm in a voicechat and playing games at the same time. It does not help to switch voicechat program nor game because the problem will exist no matter what. More specifically the problem begins always when someone is talking on that moment, resulting that I can't hear certain game sounds. This drastically decreases the joy of the game as well as my performance in the game. In FPS-games I can't hear footsteps even though I have enabled scout mode and in Dota 2 I can't hear what my teammates are saying.
I have tried to reinstall its drivers but turned out to be waste of time, also I have enabled "Don't do anything" option from control panel when in a voicechat.
Hope that this problem is fixable or atleast can be dealt by compromise.

Are you using the ADM? Is your headset USB?

If you are in vent/ts it may be that it dims the game sound while someone is speaking? I know that it was an option in them that I had to disable. I'm not sure if this is the option you are talking about in the control panel (I assume you mean system control panel).

Yes, I meant system control panel. Most of the times i use steam voicechat and i haven´t noticed any option that i have to disable in order to hear game´s sounds normally even tho someone is speaking at that moment.
EDIT: Neither do i have ADM headset. I have Creative EP-630C in-ear headphones.

Just doing the mic test it seems that steam automatically quiets the volume of whatever is under the voice (no option to get rid of it from what I see). I don't use voice chat on steam so I can't be 100% certain in game but I know that TS had an option to stop it form doing that. It would do it in the mic test if it was selected. I suggest trying a VoIP client like TS/vent to see if this is the case... with the option disabled of course. No software is perfect so valve may have thought this was a good idea to force on people.

ADM headset is not what they meant. They were wondering if you had the Audio Control Module (ACM) that comes with the Creative Zx/r card.
