[chiphell] IN WIN 901 aluminum and tempered glass ITX case - Page 17

Very nice!

Are you using a 240 rad for both GPU and CPU?

Nice HD800 too biggrin.gif

Right now I'm trying my 3570K (stock) with the Intel HSF before I decide on whether or not to get an AIO watercooler. Ambient temp around 15 Celsius:

Not too bad, about the same as my Lanbox VF1000, which isn't great either. When summer arrives, even a minor overclock will not be possible, especially after I install my 760. It looks like I have no choice but to get an AIO, and I swore that I would never touch a 120/140mm unit...

Runs great on just the H220 radiator, but I went ahead and added a 120mm thin radiator in the front above the intake, just because I could make it fit smile.gif.

And thanks, I LOVE my HD800s, and I have to say, they are a great match for this case (as for as design/materials).

EDIT: I have the 3570k and the reference (short PCB) GTX 670. The short GPU leaves space to fit that 120 rad in the front without anything blocking the airflow.

Any pics without the glass on it? Or maybe with the LED off? I saw that case at frys electronics and LLLLOVE it but if I ever got It I would need to put my radiator in the back like you did as well.

Here's my build. I decided to mount the rad inside the case since it looks so much cleaner. I really wanted to go with a 240mm unit, but the 120mm Zalman 310 AIO is a reasonable compromise between esthetics and practicality. At least it dropped temps by about 3-4 Celsius idle over the garbage Intel HSF. I'm expecting load temps to be significantly lower than stock.

This case is a massive pain for cable management. There are numerous routes that can be taken, but you really need to plan well ahead; otherwise, it gets incredibly messy. My Supernover 650G powers supply with its unconventional rail also forced me to install the PSU without first attaching the modular cables. This wasn't fun, especially when I had to redo it.

760 Hawk is being RMA'd.

^ Looks awfully cramped. Nothing really beats the aesthetics of this case though, at least outside of custom-made cases. CaseLabs comes close, but that's more tailored for watercooling/functionality than looks.

That's exactly how I ended up getting this case too. I was in the middle of a build in another case (Silverstone Raven RVZ01) and went to Fry's and say this... it was love at first sight, lol.

Here are a couple more pics, I have actually made a few changes since those other pictures. I added another radiator, added a fan, and changed out the lights for a set of RGB leds so I can put whatever color lights I feel in the mood for. I also installed them differently, so they don't shine in my face.

I just set them to "White" mode for these pics, since you can't really see inside the case with the lights completely off.

And here is one with the glass off, as requested.

How much room is below the GPU slot? I have a Prolimatech MK-26 on my GPU and I am not sure if will fit in this case.

Nice to see you can fit a 120mm rad up front. That was my other concern. If the Prolimatech MK-26 is too large I guess I may need to watercool the GPU afterall.

Well, the Komodo water block on my GPU is 18mm thick(from the pcb), and the thin radiator in the front is a 30mm thin radiator. There is maybe 1 or 2 mm gap between them (a very small bit of the edge of the radiator is actually up under the GPU). So I'm thinking you could fit about a 50mm thick cooling graphics card at most. I would also be cautious of the height of the GPU, as the Komodo block I have fits basically EXACTLY in the case. It's basically flush to the glass (honestly might be a mm too tall and putting a bit of pressure on it) so I wouldn't try to fit anything taller than 4.8". You probably couldn't fit an ASUS Direct CU II type card, for example.

Well that is unfortunate. The MK-26 is 2 inches wider than the videocard. I guess that solves it then.

Hey, we've got the same board and CPU thumb.gif

What temps are you getting?
