[chiphell] IN WIN 901 aluminum and tempered glass ITX case - Page 18

Mine Idles about 32-35, ambient temps usually about 23-28. This is with all of my fans set to 0% on PWM (about 400 RPM) in order to have it as quiet as possible. It idles much lower than that if I turn the fans up... but I don't mind things being a bit warmer as long as it's quiet. Mine is also overclocked to about 4.23 GHz using the TPU switch on the board. GPU idles about 28.

Edit: Corrected temps.

Very impressive temps. I'm jealous.

That's exactly how I ended up getting this case too. I was in the middle of a build in another case (Silverstone Raven RVZ01) and went to Fry's and say this... it was love at first sight, lol.

Here are a couple more pics, I have actually made a few changes since those other pictures. I added another radiator, added a fan, and changed out the lights for a set of RGB leds so I can put whatever color lights I feel in the mood for. I also installed them differently, so they don't shine in my face.

I just set them to "White" mode for these pics, since you can't really see inside the case with the lights completely off.

And here is one with the glass off, as requested.

What you did there is impressive and reasonably clean but the rad on the outside ruins it for me is there no way to git it on the top?

No. There's no ventilation or fan mounts up top.

I'm sure it would be possible to run a thin 120mm rad inside the back space instead of mounting the 240 outside like it did. That in combination with the 120 in the front would give you a total of 240mm rad space. The cooling performance would be much less than the external rad, of course.

I suppose it would be possible. I actually thought of that too, but since my motherboard has the VRM daughter board, there is not space for that. There is an air gap between the inner and outer frame, so air could flow through there, but again, not really gonna work on a motherboard like mine or the Maximus Impact. Maybe possible on the MSI gaming board (or any non-gaming board, I suppose). It would depend on the CPU block too. I'm sure you could fit a fan... But a radiator, even a thin one, I don't think so.

*sigh* ... So I read your comment and notice your "reasonably" clean... and I thought to myself "ugh... he's right, it is only reasonably clean".... so I spent a few hours re-running all of my cables... Thank you for that sir, lol.
