Pulling the trigger, is this my best bet?

I am purchasing an FX-8320 and it has to go into a Micro ATX case, is this motherboard my best option?

GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-USB3

Will this board handle mild overclocks with a 125w chip? or should I drop down to the 6300? I think this combo will also net me some ram, since I am sitting at 4 gigs of some very old eco g.skills.

Depends on what you'll use it for, but the board will support a 125w FX processor.

I have that board and yes, I believe it is the best option for M-ATX. It will handle mild overclocks, but you will probably need to provide a little suplimental cooling to the VRM. Perhaps a small fan aimed at the mosfet heatsink.

I game, that's it. All the parts in my sig rig are going into a home server for testing and learning for work.

Thanks Wizardonthejob, I picked up some Corsair SP120's for my watercooling, and since my computer is in the garage which is like 30 degrees right now, i am going to set up my fan to pull cold air from the back through the rad into the case, which in theory should blow over the vrm. And mild OC is all I really am interested in. So its reassuring to hear that it will be fine. The only thing in the back of my head now is, FX-6300 and buy more ram....
