This bios is also available for the Sabertooth R2 990FX. I have it installed no problems except having to redo my settings. Thanks thumb.gif

These CPU's are already supported from bios version 1903 for this motherboard.

The same happens for the non-GEN3.0 Sabertooth > from version 1708.

What new cpu's are they talking about ?

I think up until the last BIOS revision 2005, the board wasn't fully compatible with the FX9xxx yet. After this update, my Gen3 reports proper CPU/NB and HT speeds in auto mode for the 9370... not sure if there's anything else since that's all I can recall.

Bit of a weird issue with the newest bios, so I reverted back to 2005. The system would temporarily hang for a few seconds. It would occur every 5 min. or so. Strange.

Edit: I should elaborate. This was on a clean install of Win 8 (I haven't installed 8.1 yet - waiting to get a new ssd). The mouse would hang-up while moving it around. Also, when playing audio or video it would start stuttering. The issues occurred on the default Windows drivers and also on the AMD Catalyst software, mouse drivers, etc.. I do not have these problems with 2005.

Interesting indeed. I'm on a clean install of 8.1 (not from 8 upgrade). And so far no problems. I even prime95-ed it since it's a new rig.

maybe reflash it to make sure nothing was up with the first flash? I've heard some USB 3 ports fixing itself after a reflash.

I have the non-Gen3 R2.0 board (sorry I didn't see that in the title! oops) but the same bios # is also available for my board and was downloaded from the appropriate link.

Aleunge, unless I pick a FX-9370 I'll just stick with the 2005 bios. wink.gif

EDIT: Guess it must have been a ram timing issue. With 2005 I selected the XMP and never had a problem. I installed 2103 again but this time set the ram timings manually. Everything is smooth now.
