For every person in this thread, I bet there are multiple others who also haven't received prizes but just don't care enough or remember to continue trying to claim it.

I find it a bit ironic that there's a multi-month's (year+ for some?) long backlog, and OCN is giving away $100 a day all through April.

I too have re-sent my request via PM and PayPal. Hoping the money gets paid out soon, I haven't had a chance to OC my 3570K yet and I've owned it for just about 6 months frown.gif

Guys,

Payments get made as soon as possible. Our turn around for all prizes is 30 days and that is listed somewhere, looks like I will have to make a point of digging it back up for the membership.

Currently I liaise with Admin who makes the payments, I will speak with Admin on varying and frequent occasions to make sure that payments have been made and that queries get answered. I have actually just sent some information over to Admin regarding prizing that I hope to have cleared up/paid soon.

At the end of the day Admin makes these payments when he can, please do appreciate that we do not have a Payments department where we have a Staff dedicated to making prize payments as it is not required, it is simply done by Admin who deals with all the finances, and rightly so as it is his train set so to speak. We try and make payments as quickly as possible providing that members have submitted their claims correctly, we cannot be held responsible for incorrect claims and we will not actively chase them up unless we receive a query.

While I understand the frustration I have seen some comments here that borderline on disrespect, I would like to remind all of you that this is a FREE community and we give out A LOT of prizing worth Hundreds to Thousands of dollars a month, sometimes these things take a while but they WILL get resolved. Please just be sure to treat the situation with patience and respect, at the end of the day..your getting free money.

If this comes across as blunt, I apologise but sometimes I have to put it plainly smile.gif

Hopefully we ill have these payments made out to you guys as soon as we can humanly manage it.

Thanks for the reply Enterprise, I apologize if I came off as disrespectful, as that was not my intention. I'd just like to be kept updated, it's a little annoying to go weeks without updates.

While there is no price of admission to the community, this site gets loads of traffic and thus loads of ad revenue. At the end of the day, this site is a for-profit business that he undoubtedly pays taxes on. Contests and prizes are ways of keeping traffic high and rising and the community happy, thus increasing profits. If systems in place to handle fulfillment aren't adequate, then I guess more staffing is required.

I'd say the 30-day turnaround is a myth for many people at this point. It's hard to say what percentage of prize winners are affected, but I'm assuming it isn't a small one. I've won two things on this site. One took 3-4 months to receive, and this one is coming up on 6 months. I wonder if I would've ever gotten them if I hadn't have followed up, as I did.

If this comes across as blunt, I apologize, but I'm just putting it plainly as well. I'm not mad. It's just frustrating that this requires so much time and effort and that this bustling community can't handle things better after this has been a known issue for so long. I'm not ungrateful either, but I and all these other people have every right to reach a point where enough is enough.

I know you guys are attempting to handle and correct things, and I appreciate that. I'm just responding to the points you made.

My [$4,000 in Prizes!] What hardware do YOU want for the Holidays?'s prize was paid today, april 7 at 07:26 PM (-3 GMT). Well, I think that talking to ENTERPRISE made it faster, so I suggest anyone who is waiting for prizes try talking with him (or her, I don't know biggrin.gif). Nice! Did you cancel your original claim and resubmit it? I'm thinking about doing that. It's good to see payments for that contest going out though. I'm anxiously waiting for my prize from that contest.

Yes. This is what I did:

-Resent admin a message saying that and what I won including in it my PayPal data (account and my actual name).
-Canceled the old money request (just because ENTERPRISE asked me to, talk with him to know if you should too).
-Made a new money request following the Claim Steps exactly the way is wrote there.
-Kept talking with ENTERPRISE to see how it was.
