If anyone could shed some light as to what I could do...

I can't see a way that can force them to send me a replacement or admit to being stupid.

I'd like it very much if someone could help... sadsmiley.gif

I sent them back the replacement GPU they sent me (faulty, yet again) and it got broken in the post, but they signed for it as in good condition, so I cannot claim against the courier and Sapphire are unwilling to do anything about it and claim its not their fault - which it blatantly is.
Not impressive at all. Going onto ASUS products - better quality VRAM and components overall...

The horrific evidence...

EDIT: While it was working, the fans run very loud, so don't buy if you like quiet. Also, the Vapor-X is not an effective cooler for the heat the card produces (7950 Boost if you were wondering).

This is why I take pictures with time stamps of items at the post office when I ship them. Then keep the receipts from the post office of the shipping for a complete timeline. That way The Post or the company/buyer can't screw me. I've had it happen to me with a motherboard. I learned my lesson. An expensive one, but a lesson. Sorry for the loss of your card due to someone elses idiocy.

I have had 2 different 7950 Vapor-X GPUs and the fans were loud on both.
Sapphire use cheap VRAM and components, which, in my case, couldn't even sustain the stock boost speeds and started artifacting after about a month of use at stock clocks. I cleaned the dust off of them once a fortnight to ensure that it wasn't dust build-up that caused them to under-perform. I'm in London and this happened in the winter, so there is really no excuse because my computer room is the coolest room in the house (3 outside walls).
I shipped it back in good physical condition and the box was bent when it got there. Now, anyone with a brain would've said to themselves "Graphics cards are supposed to be bent, it's probably damaged", whereas Sapphire staff thought it'd be funny to sign for it as "in good condition" and leave me in a powerless position ~£230 out of pocket.
Obviously TNT cannot help me due to the stupidity of Sapphire.

Overall:
  • Their products aren't built to last.
  • If you're lucky, good for you.
  • If you ever need to RMA your card back to manufacturer, don't. Send it to your re-seller (mine went bust, so I couldn't).
  • Avoid their products since their warranty support sucks.
  • Buy someone like ASUS or XFX (in America) since they have good warranties and less-****y products.

Send me the info on this with dates and such and I will look into this. if I happened recently I might be able to help.

As for your issues I am very surprised, I thought our 7950 was one of our best cards, super quiet and ran very cool. I used them in a number of personal builds and never had an issue.

The thing is, they are well aware that I sent it to them in a fine physical condition, they just don't want to admit to being in the wrong, because there's no benefit for them. If they admit to it, they have to replace my card. If they don't, then there's absolutely nothing I can do apart from try to warn others off; which for an individual is hard. If I were as big as, let's say, Linus, then they'd replace it in a heartbeat, but I'm not.

They know full well that they shouldn't have signed for it as "in good condition", with such damage to the box and card.
